    Morning everyone,

Hugs to LW, Molly, Penpin and OH, EG's OH and Caraid's mum.

Bright and sunny here this morning, I might finally get to the bottom of all the washing today.
Need to return all the ski clothing to the lovely people that lent it to us, that cut down the cost of the holiday quite a bit.:D

Going to catch up with my friend this afternoon, her son had to have his appendix taken out yesterday, that was a bit of a shock for everyone as it all happened so fast! He is fine now though and coming home today.

Right off to wake the troops!

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)

    Morning all!
A day off, yippee!!!! WM number 2 is on, and am currently searching for a big stick cos you could stir this house with one, what do they do when I'm at work??????
Planning to go out on the hunt for some new shorts for my holibags, 5 weeks tomorrow and not coming quick enough. Need to sort out freezer to make some space for food for the kids whilst we are away, although since DS only eats carp wont be too hard for him, DS creates loads of stir frys when left to her own devices so usually has a mountain of chicken and a ton of veg and peppers!
Hugs in a pile for those who want/need one, have a good day!

Will be taking DGD for her final swimming class at 9.30 - she and her Dad will be returning home this afternoon. The holidays have gone by so quickly. Only bit I dread is the daily battle to persuade her to brush her just below shoulder length hair! She hates doing it with a passion and isn't keen on being helped either. She is a treasure though and we'll really miss her being here.
Beemuzed not sure how old DGD is but can she be persuaded to brush it like Rapunzle in Tangled has to??
I don't know how Rapunzle brushes her hair (not seen the film) but my hair is waist-length, and if I'm having a wee problem with tangles, I start by getting the bottom 3 or 4 inches tangle-free, then go up a further 3 or 4 inches, and get the brush through that right to the ends, and so on til I can get the brush through the whole length. Saves a whole lot of pulling! Maybe this technique would help your DGD.:o (Admittedly, on a bad day pain-wise I have to get Mr LW to do it for me, but the principle is the same);)

I got up early to dye my hair as it was rather badger like:eek::D
Mr LW has been informed he's doing mine some time over the weekend - I have a 2" silver stripe down the centre!:D

    Morning All

Essex Girl....Made my eyes water when I read yesterday's post. I hope OH feels better soon x

RageinEden Hope the hospital appointment goes well x

Didn't get on yesterday it was just a whirlwind of a day plus we had to rush the rabbit back to the vet because he is still having problems so that was another £50  but he is an 8 year old house rabbit cross between a dutch and a lop according to the vet and is part of the family and this is only the third time apart from his jabs that we have had to take him to the vet, so we can't complain.

Going shopping when DH gets home and we have to do Aldi and Asda this week, and both DH and I hate Asda with it's loud music, rude staff etc, but needs must, it is cheaper than S*s or T*s:eek:

Well I had better go and check the washing, there are some very angry looking clouds in the sky :(
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

    Afternoon all

Does anyone know of anywhere apart from charity shops/recycling centres etc that buy second hand books? I'm thinking of something similiar to musicmagpie, kids have mountains of books that are in lovely condition would be nice to get something back for them if poss.

Thanks, keep safe and well, and healing vibes for all those who are headachey x

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Bitsy and lamewolf - thanks for the suggestions! She adores Tangled and wants hair like Rapunzel's ( aged 5 by the way!). But hates brushing her hair or having it brushed... If she's feeling co-operative I can and do tackle it as LW's suggestion - but today it was a case of shrieks and running away whenever the brush appeared! Suspect if she were mine it might be a case of shorter hair!!!
Still, we'll miss her so much as she lights the whole place up when she's around.
