I recently found 2 items on ebay that I wanted, (both used and both slightly overpriced) from the same seller. They are the kind of item that only appeal to certain people and are not in high quantities on ebay.
I emailed the seller asking if they would consider a BIN for the items thinking that even if all that happened was it saved me on postage it would still be worth my while and save me fudging about with 2 seperate transactions.
The seller agreed and I subsequently went to the listing only to find it was still 2 seperate items (I had asked them both to be put up together, which may have saved on sellers fee's [don't quote me on that]) and that both the price and postage had been increased.
Does she think I'm nuts If I bought them I'd be paying more than for new items and then a whacking great P+P on top. I'd have happily paid a bit extra to cover any listing fee's incurred by the change but its taking the mick!
I suppose the seller assumed that because they agreed to a BIN I'd happily pay over the odds!

I'm not following what you're asking (but I am full of cold so not your fault :rotfl: ).
Each items main price has increased by £1.50 and P+P by £1, and its still two seperate auctions, I checked incase the seller had just added one to the other IYKWIM. The P+P is now £3.50 which is what I would have thought 1 of the items would go for, having sold something similar I know £2 would cover it! The seller wants me to pay £5per item and £3.50 P+P per item which is waaaaaaaaaaay more than I would!:dance:One good turn gets most of the duvet!! :dance:0 -
email her again and tell her you wanted a BIN at the agreed price nas postage and you are not willing to pay the new prices.
If she says no just walk away.0 -

We didn't agree a price, I asked if she would consider it and let me know the price and she e-mailed saying she had listed it BIN. I assumed it would be less than new market value, as its used, with close to £4 P+P. I can't understand it, I have a reasonable amount of FB which would tell her I know how ebay works... why would she assume I'd pay well over the odds??:dance:One good turn gets most of the duvet!! :dance:0 -
she'll still be able to edit her listing so why not send her an email asking her to drop the price.0

..and why not just buy them new instead?0

I can understand her increasing the price, specially as you hadn't actually agreed what to put the BIN as, she put the original price as an auction cost, but normally BIN's as more expensive. Cheeky yes, but nothing new.
Increasing the P+P cost is out of line, as that shouldn't change whatever the BIN price is. And having a reasonable amount of feedback doesn't mean anything these days!
If you're not happy with it now then look elsewhere. If you can get it cheaper new elsewhere then do it. Of course it could just be a misunderstanding and could be sorted out with an email.
Makes me mad when people pay over the odds for stuff on ebay without looking at other places where they could get it cheaper!Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A
I would like to be lucky,healthy & happy in 2020! :T0
