Primus £6.79 Line Rental

It's a BT line, BT master socket etc plus there is no Cable in the whole county. I found out what the number was but it is disconnected. But still with the dial tone.
None of the line checkers on the ISP websites can check the line so basically I need a "new line".0 -
No, you need a reconnection. No free lunch, and no free laptop

But Primus won't necessarily charge you for it. You might need a new number but the cost may be free. Read 2nd paragraph here. But I'm not sure whether that will apply to the £6.79 package as they say in these circumstances signing up for Primus Saver will involve a free installation. You need to check this out with them. I have a Primus Saver account and it's saved me money compared to BT whom I used to be with, but then I don't have a fixed mobile contract to complicate things..Deleted_User wrote: »It's a BT line, BT master socket etc plus there is no Cable in the whole county. Primus seems quite an odd charging structure, 6 pence a minute to ring Australia landline, and 10p to ring Australia mobile compared to 14 pence to ring a UK mobile (all evenings), have I got that right?

My contact with BT expires on 6th June 2012, when would be the best time to action a transfer to Primus, without incurring cancellation fees or being charged the next quarters rental in advance by BT?'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. And Post Office Homephone is going up from £12.25 to £13.25 per month (a rise of 8% if my maths is right) as from 21st May.0 -

Funny that! Bait and switch?
In my brief time with them so far, their customer service has been poor, specifically their failure to reply to e-mail enquiries. The 8% rental price rise (with other call rises too) is another annoyance.0 -

If you have the number, you can transfer it to Primus.
Then you should be able to do an ISP line check.0 -

Is it really more expensive to phone a UK number than abroad during daytime with Primus? BTW homephonechoices are now only chaging £6.29 for Primus.
