I agree Elledee, I'm going through a major dry spell, and it's reading about other people's wins that inspires me to keep at it!

Especially the occasions where someone has broken the drought with a big win like a holiday or a laptop. That makes me comp extra hard!

In many cases the winners will not be from MSE as the number of entries from MSE users may only be a very small percentage of the total number of entries in a competition.
There are lots of people who use MSE who are not registered as well as the winning non-posters (some of the recent posts would be enough to stop people posting, myself included)
While possible it is very unlikely that there is no prize and winners details are usually available from promoters once a competition is over.

That's what I was worried about - that people have been put off posting their wins! Hope this thread gives people some encouragement to post their wins as we all love to read about it.

I wish, but people have been saying that for a long time now!

What are some examples of the recent threads that put people off posting that are being referred to? I must have missed them.

I usually only post if I win a biggie these days as I'm so busy comping. However, I always send the poster a PM to thank them.
