I am a bit wary about posting wins as there have been some nasty jealous comments but I get so excited I can't help myself plus as a regular poster of competitions myself I like to read about people winning prizes from my posts so I like to come on and publically thank the people who have helped me win stuff.
The Facebook Winners Thread is great for checking Facebook wins. It is easy to miss wins on Facebook because often they just post something on their wall telling you to email them so if you don't go back and check you never see it so I keep a record of Facebook competitions closing dates to go back and check then always post the announcements on this thread (unless BabychamPrincess beats me to it).
The ITV winners are posted here if you ever want to look up the winner for a particular comp.
If there is a big prize I've really got my heart set on I'll make a note and go back and check the website to see if they've posted a winner's name and if they do I add it to the bottom of the original post but since these are moved to Game Over you wouldn't stumble across these unless you did a search.
Hope this is helpful.0 -
I think its lovely to read about peoples wins and yes sometimes I will be jealous when its a good prize and a comp I entered but thats all part of the fun of comping, I'm sure there were jealous people when I have won some of my comps.
Just stumbled across this searching for laptops as mine appears to be on its way out lol I personally like to post a thread to say thank you to the person who posted the comp as all the prizes I have won over the past year and a bit have really lifted my spirits0 -
Funny that this has been posted as i was going to start a thread yesterday actually stating people are not posting wins like they used to but I saw some of the posts where people were getting shot down so decided not to bother........
I myself have not won anything for the second month running , not sure why as before this I was winning Ive done well over 1000 comps this month (i like to keep a tally , sad i know) but nothing!
Anyway must go - today i AM GOING TO WIN SOMETHING I FEEL IT
)) Gc -Feb £87.25/ £90
Thank you to all who post !!
Such Fun !!!:j0 -
I used to always post my wins, now I just PM the OP. There have been so many threads lately by people complaining that they aren't winning that it just doesn't seem right to post about wins so I just add them to my signature now.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

I have only been Comping since March this year and had a few small wins (see my signature). I have never seen any jealous comments by forum members whilst I have been comping about what some people have won. Personally, as others have said - I prefer it when people post what they have won on the forum. The big wins others have keep us going in the hope it will be us next!
I do appreciate winning any competitions I enter (I only enter comps I am interested in) but would like a half decent win soon. On the other hand, I am happy as I seem to have won more than others.Won since 12/12/13:
