    1. Emissions - the exhaust doesn't control the emissions as such - it's the conduit through which the gases pass from the engine. If there is an emissions-related problem, it will almost certinly be to do with the way in which the engine is burning the fuel, not the pipe through which the gases then pass - so the guarantee on the exhaust isn't relevant to this.

    2. It's a tyre - other testers may or may not be as fussy but if necessary, replace the tyre for your own peace of mind.

    3. CV joints - difficult to see how he can fail a part as worn without knowing which one is faulty. Hopefully fixable for about £50.

    4. A simple five-minute adjustment and nothing to be concerned about.

    he charged me:

    £17.63 for headlight
£40.00 (and upwards) for the tyre
    £52.88 for CV Joint
^^ I'm confused as well based on what you said David. He said to me originally "The CV joint clip needs replacing but don't know if its inside or outisde yet, will inspect furhter"

£135.00 for new CO2 sensor to sort out the emissions problem
then £50.00 for the MOT of course

I've always had mine done at the peugeot dealer and all they do is take it round to the local garage. So the result might have been the same anyway if your local Peugeot don't have an MOT testing facility.
  • As a general rule always go to a council run mot station, the results and any subsequent work required will be genuine. Cheaper in the long rum
