Where to sell private number plate?

Hi All I am looking to sell a private plate, I have looked online and the only sites I found quote you but then retain it to sell from what I can make out. I was after just selling it! Any advice and/or recommendations welcome Thanks in advance PJB

My reg number spells my surname - and it's not a particularly common name.

If I was selling it, I would decide how much I wanted for the plate, then Google as many people with my surname as possible and then write or email them asking if they are interested. Also, I'd go the the library where they have every telephone directory in the country, and copy the addresses of everyone with my surname.
