Failed Orange Credit Check

Yes, it happens often - and I also heard that when their direct link to the CRA is down, all applications fail-safe to 'refuse'. A manual check usually provides a positive result, but I like to think the user learns from this, and is discouraged it giving networks the right to control their life for something as fickle as a mobile. PAYG avoids all of the pitfalls.0

I experienced the very same thing, I failed the credit check too - I was mortified, how embarrassing was it, and, like you, I manage my financies well. The strange thing was that my 18 year old Student daughter passed. I actually wanted to challenge this decision and was told to contact customer services, that got me no where. It was not a one off either as I tried again and failed once more. Can anyone advise how we challenge the decision or do we have to live with it?0

Unless the link is down for a prolonged period - then they make the decision to Auto-Accept to make sure ongoing trade is not lost. Obviously when this happens it is not publically mentioned to protect integrity. And it does not happen very often. Once a year if that....I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0
