How much should new brake pads be? (Kia Ceed)

I suspect the prices quoted above included discs as well.
Only time i've ever known a quote for over £200 to supply and fit rear pads alone was main dealer trying to extract the urine from daughter on a 3 series compact.
New pads alone from the dealer £45, when i looked they were standard Textar, returned unfitted.
I fitted identical pads for less than £19 from ECP.
The main dealer never laid eyes or hands on the car again.0 -

Plus others as long as non Kia parts are of comparable quality.
False. The Kia warranty says kia parts must be used.0 -
update:
local garage charged £60 all in for the back brakes!!! How on earth could the Kia dealer charge £270+?
It's my husband's car & he's taking it back in to the dealer on Thursday for some warranty work - I hope he'll mention how much he actually paid for the brake pads!
Disgusting..... I got my Vectra's pads AND discs (all 4 wheels) changed for about £180.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I do too, especially in view of the extra £100 wanted for genuine Kia parts.
Now what is worrying is that if the discs are so worn that they will soon need replacing, then I fear the OP has wasted their money only having new pads fitted.
(When the discs do get changed, new pads will have to be fitted again)"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
False! Kia dont make any of their parts that go in their vehicles, so their terms of warranty are unfair.jimbo_the_jetset wrote: »False. The Kia warranty says kia parts must be used.
They would honor the warranty as long as OME spec parts are used.0
