You should take a tip from this guy. They'll soon get more sick of you, than you are of them.

Don't answer calls from any number you don't recognise. If it's a genuine call, they will leave a message.

Add the numbers of any cold callers you've ignored to your contacts list (if its a mobile they are calling on) with the name 'cold calling scum #1' etc.

Then you can tell at a glance that a call just wants ignoring.

I get flurries of these, but they have dried up recently after a few months of this method.

Don't waste any more energy than necessary on these parasites.

As said above, from now on never give your real number out unless you want to receive calls/texts from them. 01234 567890 works fine.

Has anyone had silent calls from these. It appears Ofcom will only do something if the call is made when absolutely no one speaks. They will not take into account others who complain on internet and there are loads, it must be you

I have again had another call from them fortunately my truecall device blocks them but I may well unblock it to see if I get a silent call

I got a silent call. I heard people in the background.

I remember hearing a radio presenter say on the air that he always says to telephone sales "hang on, I'll just get a pen" and leaves his phone off the hook for a very long time rendering the caller unable to use that line.

My wife answered last evening and told them we don't have any claims to make and don't want or need their services. They said fine. No problem. We get another call from them tonight.

    Unbelievable !

Tell then you have already claimed, rather than you are just not interested.
"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"
  • Having worked for numerous companies in the past including the claims guys, I can say that this is one of the most professional I have worked for. The phone numbers come from people not opting out of financial services usually on websites or quizzes, such as the national-lottery, go compare, van insurance and the like.

people are only doing their jobs and the computers they use ring the phone numbers, they pop up on a screen and those ringing you have no idea of how many times you have been called etc.

I know for some it is a nuisance due to the volume of companies out there but they are regulated and I can assure you with over 300 staff in 9 departments they are one of the best and most professional who exist in the business.

The company strives on people who work there to be professional and have adequate training on the areas they are dealing in. if you are nice and civil to them they will ensure you are not called again.

Rude people just go back into the system again!.

Remember we all have a job to do, no matter what it is - you may not be interested but please be civil and polite and they will deal with you in a professional manner

if you want to know more or contact the company / complain go to website which you will find on a search
