Bargainbird LOL at the stud :rotfl: and I am with your H on the toad in the hole, I hate the batter cooked round the sausages, it tastes different and no where near as nice as individual yorkies

essex girl hope oh recovers well
cariad hugs to you and your mum
mr bitsy happy birthday
Morning everyone, have been MIA with family for a week but I'm going back to uni today
Getting a train after lunch back to the mad house then spending the evening doing work. Before then I just need to change my sheets and pack my stuff up. I'm having the usual existential crisis over my dissertation and looming exams
I went to the big indoor/outdoor markets in the city center yesterday and loved it, I'm really looking forward to living somewhere that is less than 99% millionaires again so has markets and discount stores.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Hello everybody and hugs to all those who need one or would like one......
Essex Girl - Oh no, hope OH is feeling better soon
Cariad - Parents eh? Some people wouldn't have bothered for 2p but that's the older generation for you..... Hope your mum's soon on the mend
Mr Bitsy -Happy Birthday!
H and Bitsy - you are both deranged and need help LOL
Just popping on here in-between letters.... Very overcast here, no make that black clouds and looks like it's going to throw it down. So yet another day not in the garden.... Got my blood results last night. Could be better but they've been a lot worse. Endocrinologist tomorrow and gynae on Friday.... oooh the giddy excitement....and boy have I got questions for them.
OH didn't want the chicken soup last night and moaned I'd put carrot in it and not grated it! I think he expected me to have blended it but as I pointed out it's a chicken broth.... anyway, he said he was going to take some to work for lunch but if he hasn't then it will go into the freezer (working part) to be used as a chicken curry base next week. Inspired by the "what's for dinner" thread I persuaded him to get some faggots last night so I'm looking forward to those with jackets, cabbage and carrots tonight.... Apart from that not much doing. I owe letters to people but haven't got the enthusiasm to write them and I might do a towel wash later.... and tonight will be spent with a conditioning pack on my hair as it's getting really dry....But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green

Good morning all,
It is a beautiful day here at the moment. Got to hang washing out.
Daughter is going out in a few minutes, thank goodness. She isn't very happy with me. She put a t shirt in the td because she couldn't be bothered to iron it (was ironed once but not my problem if she doesn't put it away). She then took the t shirt out of the td and left it running without anything in it . Not my favourite person at the moment.
Have got stew in the slow cooker for tea, will be plenty to freeze. Prepared veg to make curry for the freezer and going to make a big batch of parsnip soup from the pasnips i was given.
Bitsy, hope your hubby has a great birthday.
Cariad, hope your mum feels better soon.
Hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.

Morning All! DGD went swimming early this morning and is now watching a video as a treat! She preferred the beginners' group last week - this week she's out of her depth all the time and a bit timid about it.
Washing is out on the line, but the clouds are gathering fast... daren't complain though - we probably need a month of steady rain and I don't expect that's on the horizon if this past year's indicative.
DS and DGd go home tomorrow so will really tidy up again then. We are away this w/e so looking forward to that.
Essexgirl, hope your DH recovers quickly. Also Cariad's Mum - falls are not good at her age I know.
Happy Birthday to Mr Bitsy - hope he enjoys his
day.
Not sure what else I'm doing today. Another load of washing is on and I have plenty of ironing to catch up with. Also need to match all DGD's socks!!!!
Could do some sewing, but if the weather holds we may get to Linton Zoo after lunch as we haven't been since last summer.
Hope you all have a good day. Take care.Resolution:

Happy birthday to Mr BB love the over the hump it's Wednesday graphic. Nearly lunch time so nearly half way through the week, wish I was half way through my work. As I always say to anyone who'll listen (lol) I love every bit of my job, there's just too much :-(

Afternoon all
Hubby & the computer both being irritating today, still hubby's now at work & I shall attack the computer with a big stick if it doesn't behave.
DD came over yesterday, DGS, who is 7, has discovered Spoonerisms, he was delighted that I knew what he was talking about & I was able to teach him a few that were rude enough to make him giggle, but not so rude that he'd get into trouble.
I made a huge pot of stoup (otherwise known as f&rt soup) DD took half home but the rest will feed me for the rest of the week, I cook something for hubby to take to work & microwave so I'm not cooking every evening.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester
