    they will be able to tell him when it reaches the end of it's minimum term, he can give notice 30 days before then.
    I think nothing stops him from giving the notice now as it has to be "at least one month's notice".

    I wouldn't bet on it though...and father does not apparently have need of the phone.

    The phone belongs to him and he can sell it, possibly with some help from his other daughter.

    Legally yes he does, but if she won't pay her own bill, why is she likely to co-operate in having it removed from her?
    He could of course report it stolen if she refuses to return it, but that might be upping the ante too far.
