I recently opened an ISA with the Nationwide for this new financial year I transferred £2000 from my Halifax ISA that I had last year leaving £5000 still in my Halifax ISA to do home improvements. Today I have just found I do not need as much to complete the work I'm looking to transfer over another £3000 is it possible do this?

What type of ISA do you have, is it instant access or fixed? Most fixed rate ISA's don't accept further deposits (whether via transfer or new deposit) once you've made your initial deposit.
If it is an instant access ISA then transferring another £3k shouldn't be a problem as you seem to have stuck to the ISA limits correctly judging by what you've said.
