  • You will be reimbursed the value of the goods you are returning if you show CS your receipt. If you do not have the receipt then you can exchange.

For example today I went to my store bought a top for DS but got home and it did not fit, even though I had used vouchers I could either have the cash or exchange it for something else. CS do not know what the vouchers are for when you are returning iterms, unless you have used alot of vouchers like I do and they they can sometimes question it

Already posted on shop but don't drop, then realised that here might be a better place to ask :T

Anyone know the policy if you are returning items that you used a voucher with?

I bought some clothes in the sale today and managed to spend £50 so I used one of the Tesco clothes vouchers (£10 off for £50 spend). Having got the clothes home about half of them don't fit very well (they do seem to have very variable sizing!) and I want to return them.

What return value will I get? Is it just the cost of the returns or will they decrease it proportionally by the voucher?

    Thanks

As Welshy says above, you will most likely not be penalised for using one voucher on a £50 spend...however over the last 3 days i have talked to friends who have been told, that Coupons will be deducted from refunds, others have had refunds no bother, and others have had a mixture of cash and gift card.

This last one is inconsistent in itself, as some stores are adamant they dont give gift vouchers, whlie others promote their giving.

As with other Tesco Policies,,,if you read them, they are pretty straightforward, but the implementation of them by tesco staff follows no pattern at all.. RandRing, Double the difference, couponing, refunds, Golden RandRs, writing on receipts, exchanging goods, returns procedure..........all of the above are inconsistent, with stores appearing to make up their own policy, depending maybe on the colour of your hair..............
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

Yeah I made the mistake of going in the day. One sharped-eyed old bag questioned me on vouchers and took off the 6 quid quit voucher.
But on an evening visit I had no trouble at all.

I'm totally gutted! I had a really disappointing outcome with the clothing vouchers.

I did a full food shop (as it was double points) and also topped up on toiletries (not BOGOFs in particular - I got all OH's usual brands as he is a bit fussy!)

I also bought £30+ worth of baby/kids clothing - thinking that the clothing coupons would be accepted without bother within a large shop.

Oh, no - chose exactly the wrong cashier....I offered up a set of blue vouchers for £15, £20 and £30 spend and a QK £30 spend voucher alongside some QK H&B and a clothing till spit for bonus points.

The cashier was 'very helpful' and explained that I could use manufacturers coupons when I hadn't bought the items but that I could only use 1 (!) clothing voucher as I'd only spent £30. :(

I did try looking all confused (Not difficult!) and asking whether she wanted to scan them 'just to see whether the till would accept them' ;) but she wasn't having any of it. She even got the supervisor over!

The worst of it was the only one she accepted was a £6 blue one (valid til July) rather than the QK one that runs out at the end of the month! And....she was rigid with the H&B coupons as well!!! I had spent well over £10 on toiletries (not even BOGOF!) and she would only accept one of each. :( She even queried whether I'd bought any 'beauty items' :o which obviously I must have because the till agreed with me.... ;)

The other galling point was that I was so flustered about my unsuccessful mission that I forgot to remind her about my green points for reusing my bags and didn't get them either. At least it was a double points weekend after all that....

I bought a bundle of baby clothes and am now tempted to take them back. Do you think the £6 coupon on the receipt is liable to cause problems with getting a refund? Has anybody returned clothes to different stores? Does that cause or solve problems?:confused:

Not a happy bunny! Going back to online shopping for a while til I've stopped sulking! I want some of Welsh Dragon's cashiers to serve me! ;)

well my trip was useless as well today i asked at the beginning if i could use vouchers she said yes, anyway clothes and shopping came to 140 she then called over a manager for the tills who only allowed a 10 off the shop 65 were clothes, I had 2 x nappy coupons for things that I had brought but he wasn't having any of it, told me to stop holding up the queue, I had several coupons for items including toiletires 20 worth non bogof and was only allowed 1 x 1.25 off the lot, so total coupon savings of 11.25, so I will be returning the nappies and most of the clothes and a game I got for DD for easter, so that will be fun, I have no problems using my nappy coupons anywhere else including boots/asda!
    Theres always one .....................
coupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there

I didn't go tescoing today, I was in the audience of a new talent show which was hosted by Ant and Dec and featured Piers Morgan, Amanda Holden and Simon Colwell as the judges.

It was entertaining and very funny and took about 4 hours to film and was completely free - my best freebie of 2007 so far. Simon Colwell got out of his limo and walked past with his bouncer as I was in going in !!!

I was filmed in the queue wearing my new tesco finest cashmere jumper and cherokee combat trousers all freebies thanks to this thread and look forward to hopefully seeing me on TV in the summer

Welshy - are you sworn to secrecy now or can you tell us more about this TV show? Is it the 'Has Britain got talent' or something along those lines? And isn't Cowell really short?

Go on, spill the beans, you know you want to :rotfl:
