Had a jolly good shop today!!
Bought £36 womens and £25 kids
    Managed to use-
    £10 blue
    £6 womens blue
    £6 mens blue
    £6 mens blue
    £4 kids blue
    £10 spring
    £7 spring
    £5 spring
    £6 quit
    £6 quit

So £5 in profit with the clothes!
I also managed to use 2 £5 sainsburys coupons that came through the door with a free paper the other day.
However, some of my toiletries ones didnt scan although i spent the required amount. The same thing happened on my mums shop. I think some of the items may have been toiletry not beauty or vice versa, although i have never had this happen before.

So I think it will be me and DD2 DS has come home with torn school trousers so will be getting school uniform tomorrow - how come boys can get through so many trousers !

    Welshy x

Tell me about it. Ive had to buy 3 pairs of school trousers today.I bought grey suit trousers reduced to £4 each, they wash so well & look really nice.
You cant tell they are not school trousers. DS no1 said they look great compared to the usual trousers I buy.

I didnt dare use my cc as I had used so many coupons. The downside is I have so many reciepts with lots of points not claimed, I just dare not use it every time in case I get a banning letter.

Just like to say thanks to all the people who swap & give advice on where to find coupons ( Ive just got some more daily mail book vouchers :))

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR ALL YOUR HELP

Wow, well done xxisabellexx! :T I'm going to try similar tomorrow but am feeling nervous.

Did you buy much grocery shopping with your clothing? Just wondered if the till lets you use lots because it's less than a certain percentage of your total bill? (If that makes sense, lol?) Do you think you could use that many and just buy £10 worth of groceries with it?

    Me too!

I shudder to think how many coupons I've thrown away before I found MSE - never realising I could use them in this way!

I picked up another paper ClubCard earlier this week, and used that one today for my clothing extravaganza. Will use it every now and again in future and mix it up with my other CC and OHs CC, and ONE DAY I will register the paper one. But at least this way the points don't go to waste :A as I would hate for that to happen!

In addition to my clothing vouchers I also used my 500pt CC coupon for £15 footwear on a pair of shoes for OH that don't fit, shock horror, they have to go back! Will swap them for something else from the clothing dept. My kids have never had so many Tshirts for the summer ;) . Will check out the schoolwear soon, but didn't like the look of the summerdresses for DD so far, will travel further afield to a larger store me thinks, for more choice hopefully this w/e.

Argh, I totally agree, and so many people are still none the wiser!

In answer to your question about how much other shopping I do, I put the clothes in with my mums weekly shop as I didnt dare do it on anything smaller! The total was £161.24. After coupons it came to £77.49 :D

I'll tell you what, my mum doesnt think I'm so crazy anymore!! :rotfl:
