What do I do if Iceland delivery doesn't turn up?

Hi
I ordered online and booked my delivery for btween 4-6 today, I got a phone call this morning asking if I would have an earlier delivery as they are a driver down - no problem agreed between 2 and 3 this afternoon but it hasn't arrived - I'm not in a state of panic - yet - as tonights tea was going to be in the delivery but whats the form if it goes astray?

Tesco did this to me and I complained calmly explaining all the inconveniences I had encountered as a result - and they refunded the full cost of the shopping - £60+ worth of stuff for free:)

If Iceland are anything like Tesco, who have taken 3 attemps to deliver a small order to my 83 year old grandmother over the last 7 days, best of luck! Not only did I have to make 7 phone calls to finally get the order delivered today, I had to fight to get the first delivery charge refunded (they proposed charging me for their trying to deliver it to the wrong house in the first instance) and I now find I have been charged the full cost of the shopping twice!

Sorry, just having a bit of a rant. I'm sure your delviery will probably turn up at the original time.

If it did arrive between 4 and 6...did it??? I would still complain (nicely) stating that you moved an appointment later, to be home between 2 and 3 and when they didn't arrive, you had to miss the "appointment". You should at the very least be given a code for money off the next order, or if they are more generous some Iceland Vouchers!! I find compaints in writing gives me more advantages!!!!

I've had Asda's let me down - they credited the delivery charge (whoopy-do!) and Tescos really messe dup. Typically, the important one, everyone was really sick, can't get out, running low on nappies and baby milk and my 9pm delivery didin't arrive ever. At 10, 10.30, 11 and 11.30 I called to complain, NExt day at 8.30 I asked when I would get it, and they told me in 3 days.
After laughing I did point out the massive inconvience and I wanted it by 9.30 that morning. No chance. "It would delay todays customers and that would not be fair as its not their fault" - Well its not my flammin fault either!
I refuse now to pay the extra on a delivery that can't be guaranteed, they never use their intellignece on BOGOFs that are out of stock and other stuff.
  • Sorry for delay! It did arrive at 4.45 in the finish with the driver moaning about not being able to find places as it was not his route. I had phoned the store and they confirmed my stuff was on the van and just a matter of getting to me. i was a bit miffed as there were things I could have done between 2 and 3 i didn't as I had to be home. It arrived just as I was trying to find something that could be cooked from frozen but thanks for the offer of the bogof sausages!:D
