over long term will it make a diff to return if you pay full cash isa allowance yearly upfront or monthly payments by direct debit?

Yes if you pay in one big lump the interest will be calculated on the full amount for the whole year. Unlike direct debit payments which your first month of interest will be on £420, next month £840, etc...0

Yes, you'll get more interest the earlier you deposit the money.0
