They are not being sold.
They are just sitting there gathering dust.
Some in the town centre and some on the new build estates dotted around town.0 -

To be fair to LL’s, we’re providing a service that owners don’t get.
If anything goes wrong with my house, I have to fix it.
If anything goes wrong with one of my BTL’s, I have to fix it.
It’s a win-win for tenants on that front.
At the same time, I’ve had two tenants in one of our properties since we bought them (c.2003), so there is security in many cases, although there are two distinct types of investors in the UK as a whole; the ‘I’m happy just to get my mortgage paid, and if I have any left over, it’s mine’ investor (like myself), and the ‘I’m going away for a year and would like to get my mortgage paid’ investor.
For the tenants, surely unless they are looking short-term, that’s not always good?
