LW - I too have learned something today!

Not much going on - went to the bank to pay in my winnings, MeanMarie there was a queue there too, must be because they were closed for a couple of days!

Got the washing more or less dry outside but it's raining again now, it was really heavy last night. The grass seems to grow as you look at it but needs to dry again before I can cut it.

Off to the Theatre tonight to see Girls Night with some friends, one of my birthday pressies and then off to Newcastle tomorrow with DD for a couple of days, never been before so looking forward to somewhere new.

DD on her way home from work as she is feeling poorly and has the skitters (sorry if TMI). Take care. XX

    Hello peeps,
    Well what a soggy day!
Lovely sun then splattery cold rain.
I planted all my potatoes today(about 150),it took me about 3 1/2 hours from bare undug mud to done deed.
The sky is leaden again. I have rain catching buckets under the eaves of the shed which are beginning to fill nicely.
I am almost done knitting a pair of socks for DS,he has huge plates of meat so they have taken an age. Probably get them finished off tomorrow.

    Afternoon all

Bramble - :rotfl:at the dog!! bless him.

Turned out nice here today, just been sitting in the garden listening to the birds for a bit. I was back in work today, so not feeling it especially as I'm not particularly fond of this bunch of work kids :S, still they finish on Thursday :j. Although to be fair they did good today, another tea and bingo session at an OAP home. The residents loved it, and all the little prizes - just things like small packet of biscuits or box of chocs for house.

I was meant to be meeting up with my schoolfriend/colleague for coffee after work for a catch up, but she was in my office this morning so we holed ourselves down the back meeting room for a free catch up for half hour ;). Uni work is all I have planned for tonight now.

OS wise - recycling all sorted, dishes need washing, stirfry for tea using up some wilted veg!

    Have a good evening all

Spent day rushing madly from one thing to another and just 10 minutes before I'm off again. What is this retirement nonsense they talk about?

Off out to a friends surprise 70th.

    Love to everyone.

Hello again, Where did the day go? Goodness we had some rain, fortunately not while i was out. Reverbed a penny that makes a paultry 8p this month:-( combination of being ill, school hols (school children here good at dropping coppers) and nsds (realised i often find dropped coins near checkout, and of course now i'm not shopping so much...) have decided my fave os meal is 3chicken legs boiled, cooled and stripped, bones put back on boil, fry chopped onion, add chicken bits, 1tin beans, any veg in need of using up (usually cubed brocolli stalk, carrots and handful frozen veg), 1 stock cube and stock. Makes 3 bowls, is fab with bread, mash or rice and with all that stock very good for colds :P

    Evening everyone

Rather a nice day here considering the forecast. washing hung on line and almost dried now on airer. Had to go and have a blood test this morning to check colesteral levels (due to family medical history as dad died at age 38 with heart problems) so good that they are checking. I was desperate for a cup of coffee after so nipped into cafe at hosp - it was blooming lovely, best coffee I've tasted for ages.

os today - hoovered all downstairs, cleaned kitchen including hob, picked up reserved item from argos, shopped the cs, bt didnt buy anything. emptied wine rack of a bottle of white with dinner(does this count?), and cleaned kitchen again after dh cooked.

Sorry not retained any info today. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care
