This is the only other one I have experience in

It's £30 more, but the processor is worth twice that. The build quality is probably on par with Samsung.

Go into a store and check them out, they both have num pads on the side of the keyboard, the Samsung does have a very, very nice silver back and the Lenovo is a tad on the glossy side (picks up fingerprints).

I will probably go with the Samsung as it's more of a known name...

Thanks for your time this evening.

Although you might not have heard of Lenovo, you probably will have heard of IBM? Lenovo took over IBM's personal computer business a few years back. They mainly did business pc's and laptops, you might have heard of the ThinkPad. They now do a cheaper range for home users called the IdeaPad. Well worth considering.

I was on the market last year for a new laptop, and funnily enough, had narrowed it down to a Samsung or a Lenovo, with practically the same specs. The Lenovo won at the end of the day because there was a deal on, so got it for a bit cheaper than the Samsung.
