Going to log off now and try and look at the overheating tomorrow.
The numbers have come down quite alot and it is mostly quicker, just hesitating a bit when it first loads the page so thanks for taking the time to help. I really appreciate it.

disable all the addons, tools, manage addons, to see if one is causing the delay
google may have less advertising than your current homepage.!!

Well I tried unsuccessfully to remove the back of my laptop and gave up! Will ask a friend to try for me.
Tried disabling the add ons but that didn't make a whole lot of difference.
I am happy with it as is, it is alot better than it was now so thankyou for your help.:)0
