Single yellow line - parking ticket help.

Okay, I think I might appeal. I've retraced my steps and have found that there is not a sign stating I was entering a CPZ, the lines along the High Street vary from double yellow, zig zags and single yellow. Am I right in thinking that there should have been a sign stating the limitations of the SYL in the absence of a CPZ notice?
The sign seen further down the road I believe relates to the road markings at that part of the road? Will try and go and get a photograph later.
Thanks for your help.
Glad you are thinking about appealing. Everyone should with any Council PCN IMHO.
No reason why not when the back of most PCNs says they will still re-offer the discount when they reject the first appeal (so you don't lose anything by trying before day 14).
As sarahg1969 said already, this is where you need to start a new topic and post your pics:

Be aware that most first appeals are refused so you need pepipoo's advice up front so that you ask the Council to provide you with enough info at that first stage, to make an informed decision whether to continue the appeals procedure further. There are no costs but at the later stage the discount is gone so it is then 'all or nothing'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I would say that the sign that Dave is referring to does not apply to the area outside Adams Carpets as there is a pedestrian crossing before that sign. In any event, I would say that the signage is inadequate as too far away. I can't see another one at all. Deffo worth appealing on those grounds.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only.
