Had a small accident and shattered the outer glass on the oven.Seems I'll need to but a whole door assembly as no one seems to do just the outer glass....The inner glass is still intact and I can understand that needs to be heatproof but does anyone know if I can get normal glass cut to size and bond it in with heatproof glue that will be up to the job?
Thanks as usual

As a minimum in needs to be tempered glass.
What is the make and model of the oven?British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
I wouldn't even think of trying to bodge an oven door with some aftermarket glass. It might seem like a lot of money to get a new door, but it could cost a lot more if your plans went catastrophically with injuries.0

Expensive door for that one, probably for good reason.
Try eBay.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
Don't even think of using normal glass, it will shatter (and probably when you are opening it as the hot inside and cold outside air cause it to contract/expand) even if its an outside panel.0
