Aye, I've been told Stoke is quite cheap. I'm not likely to live in that house but I'll try and find something similar, just trying to get an idea if there's anything I'm missing.0

The house looks like it has a shared drive. I wouldn't buy a house with a shared drive0

Best thing you can do is research area ect before you fall in love with any houses, Im not in the position myself to buy a house but Ive been looking at different areas of the country and been very surprised that there are houses for about half what they go for where I live. Some houses will need a bit of work doing to them, some will be "tarted" up with a fresh coat of paint but have damp issues for e.g. also try and have a look online how long its been on the market and how many times its been sold and for how much.0

"Maturing Semi Detached House" would worry me0

I live about a 5 min walk from that house on Mcdonald crescent, Its not the nicest street and some of the street looks a bit rough but luckily its on the edge of Meir near Weston Coyney so you wouldnt have to go through the estate. Its near good schools if thats needed, plus a co-op/post office/chippy/barbers etc which are a 5/10 min walk in Weston Coyney0

That looks like a lovely house. Wonder what the catch is? Or is Stoke really that cheap?0 -
It is cheap here! that was the main reason why I moved here!
That house was put on for £79,950 in January and is empty so they probably want a quick sale0 -

That one does look nice, yes. I've had a search for houses specifically in Stoke and there seems to be a lot of decent properties that are quite cheap. I wasn't planning on moving there but it's looking like an attractive option.0
