Can anybody recommend where or who to get a website designed for cheap from?
From reading this thread i can understand that i need to buy the domain and hosting myself. I dont have time to build it myself, it would be about 12 pages long and need a credit/debit/paypal order system on it...
I dont want to hijack the OP's thread but didnt want to start a new one either.
how many items will you be selling? because you can use paypal buttons if you don't have too many items to sell say like 10-15 items, so you won't require a checkout system.
But there are easy checkout systems you can use yourself such as prestashop which I use sometimes if someone wants a quick e-commerce site.ewwwww what is that...0 -

Ah ok didnt know that. It will be just 10-15 items so i would much rather do it the easiest way than get a cart (if thats more complex and can run into more problems)0 -
I think you are right that's frustrating. But it will mean an upgrade in software, and i know from experience that b and b's like to have a calendar with a pencil and pen, not many like to do things on the computer.
Depends how much you want to spend? you can buy some hotel software and link your website to that to show availability but you will definitely need a web designer to do that.
Others are probably available but worth a look?

I use yola.com as recommended by someone on MSE.
I have the basic option which is free for 2 years.
You can have upto 5 pages, choose your own website address (mine is .co.uk)
I have a contact us page and a shopping cart which goes through to paypal. -Although the cart is basic - you need to upgrade to get a fancy shop
You can also add in a google calander which can show availability etc
And its really easy to use, as I was a complete novice and surprised myself how good it looks
