I think some of us got crushed in the rush ...

Can't you down tools, and feed him beans on toast until he acquiesces to your just and fair demands?

A word of warning. The designers will start talking about islands and boiling water taps. You have been warned. :)

Well we were asked! I just pop by when I have time - or if a particularly interesting question pops up. When I saw the question, I came to see what the query was. I don't have the time to do a lot of free plans any more ... but there's plenty of help on hand here.

Funnily enough I'm just suggesting an island to someone ... but it's more usual for me to be trying to talk people out of the idea ... you need a huge amount of space to fit one in!

    A peninsula now ... that's a different matter ... even a tiny kitchen can have a peninsula! ;)
I write blogs about kitchens ... and I design kitchens for a living ... I just love kitchens!

I was not being serious or critical. :)

I chose to have an oak table in my kitchen, and I like the versatility that it brings.I'm sure you are right that you need huge space for an island, which most of us do not have. I was impressed by some of the toys such as a pull our larder, very useful.

No - I know - just having a bad day. Some kitchens are very trying!

I think I prefer the larders with the individual pull-out drawers inside, to the ones that pull out complete ... and the island I'm suggesting is instead of a table ... but it is a huge kitchen, there's room for both - honest!
