Rapport is interfering even when working offline

I have Rapport as security for online banking, but when I'm not even connected to the internet it sometimes stops me from doing things. Furthermore, Task Manager can't disable it.
For example, I had to remove Adobe from my C drive as I had a warning that memory was critically low. I have now cleaned up the drive, but the amount of free space is only around 850MB, so I am trying to reinstall Adobe on the D drive. However I got the error shown in the screenprint. What business is it of Rapport?
I'm running XP Home with Service Pack 2.

Rapport adds zero value. It's not mandatory and is more of a hindrance than an aid.0

Rapport has never caused me any problems not sure why everyone complains about it...
anyway that error message isn't from rapport it is from the windows installer service0 -
The reason why "everyone complains about it" is, presumably, because it has caused them problems. The problems are not experienced by everybody, just by a significant subset of users. You are fortunate that it works for you without problems...MoneySavingUser wrote: »Rapport has never caused me any problems not sure why everyone complains about it...0 -
Yep, get rid of rapport, it's completely ineffective and slows down your computer more than most malware.poppy100

You're presumably concerned about security - running rapport - I presume you bank online.
You're running an outdated, unsupported, insecure Operating system - XP sp2.
You're also trying to install an outdated, unsupported, insecure program - Adobe Reader 7x

You'd do well to make the system more secure by updating to SP3 and updating any insecure programs.

I must agree here, i have had no problems with rapport. The only thing i can think is that it is clashing with other software on your machine. Might be worth investigating what other background software you have running in the background and turning them off one by one or turn them all off and turn them all on one by one, through MSCONFIG option.ewwwww what is that...0 -
My only problem with Rapport is the "Download now" page each time I visit my bank, never yet have I clicked "Ok"

Easily cured, use Linux, I don't get the prompt.

(Don't worry about replying, I know you're a knowledgeable regular
).
Well it's a few hours since someone posted 'Install Linux'.
Move along, nothing to see.0
