May sound really basic but how do I transfer shares I own into a share ISA?

Just call your share account provider and say you want to bed and ISA as mentioned above and they wil take care of it.
You cant transfer the shares, but they have to sell them for you then buy them back in your ISA, you will probably lose some shares because of the spread.0 -
Most providers will eliminate one of the commission fees if you 'Bed & ISA' - i.e. you might pay their 'selling' fee but not pay a 'rebuying' fee - or vice versa. Half the cost of selling them yourself and rebuying in the ISAOld dog but always delighted to learn new tricks!0
