Happy Easter to everyone, sorry I couldn't find a proper Easter smiley! :D

We've had a quiet morning here, for a change, not too much chocolate! Going to a friend's for an egg hunt soon, then making a big salad for tea - along with pizza, cooked meat, smoked salmon - sounds very grand but quite cost-conscious! After tea I'll read the new book I bought the littlies - a simplified version of the Easter story - then they can have baths & bed - that's if they'll sleep after too much silly stuff! :rotfl: Tonight I'm cracking on with magazine stitching and reading the third in the Hunger Games trilogy - they are really good books; discovered the first before I knew they were making it into a film & it's taken ages to get the next 2 from the library.

Might try and get my spuds and onions in after tea, too, if it stays dry - Pink Fir and Romano spuds, regular onions and shallots - just a few handfuls of each I got free, so hope they sprout!

Have a good day everyone, and happy Passover to Shalva!

    A xo

    Happy Easter,
Lol at Shalva, we may have chocolate but I think you win on the weather front, cold & drizzly here today.
    Miffy (((hugs)))
Need to brave the rain in a bit to get some rosemary & mint from the garden for the lamb, other than that will be staying indoors all day.
Both the kids have sorted out massive piles of washing which is just what I need with rain forecast for the next few days  still they both have a few days off so no real urgency.
PrincessHissy has taken to catching field mice & bringing them in of a night time  cue absolute bedlam as 2 cats & 3 dogs (all terriers) rampage round trying to catch the poor things, still 1 good thing, we've had to have a bit of a declutter so there are no hiding places :o just hope she doesn't progress to birds as we have several nests in the garden, will be getting a bell for her collar tomorrow so tthey have advance warning.
Hope you all have a peaaceful weekend x
Hugs & spoons where required x

Hello all. managed to lose last post :-( basically....

Happy Easter all. My children are at the rather have a lie in than get excited about eggs stage. OH gone out taking atmospheric photos of Dundee with the girls. I'm still nursing the end (I hope) of this cold and still have some papers to read for tomorrow's review.

We had a fab piece of British pork yesterday from Lidl so just had roast pork and Mrs Ball sarnie for lunch.

miffy all the best with sorting mum's stuff. Always a harrowing task. FIL died in Feb and there's a lot of sorting to do but need to wait till MIL is ready. BIL is helping her sort her finances. FIL always made things sooooo complicated :-(

Shilva Ha no sympathy, we all know you dined well on Friday :D Enjoy your matzah. After all this chocolate I shall be on Ryvita tomoz :rotfl:

    Hello all,

    Miffy - ((((((( hugs ))))))

It's been suspiciously quiet at work, weather is bit drizzly so maybe will busy up when all day trippers on their way home. I had hot x bun toasted for breakfast and then a plate was being handed round when I got in to work - it would have been rude not to wouldn't it?? :p

On nights tomorrow so I will have a lie in in the morning, do some ironing then go and visit my sister to deliver eggs and little gifts for nieces. DH coming as well as he is off tomorrow and on the way home we can go past the kitchen showroom and pick the worktops and doors for the kitchen so that they can price it up, they've already drawn up plans but I'm scared of getting too excited about it as am worried they'll quote a silly price. If it is too much, we'll shop around or wait until we've got more saved :(

I'd better go and find something to do - make coffe maybe? :rotfl:

    Hello all.

Easter and Passover Blessings to all who celebrate them.:o

Not so much as a sniff of chocolate in the Wolf's Lair.... I suppose, had I given it a thought, I could have made a choc mousse for our dessert; as it is, we had vegetarian jelly with cherries from the freezer in it. This followed our main course - frog-inna-bog, aka toad in the hole made with veggie sausages.;)

We've just come back from Jasper's lunchtime walkies, so he's happy (as well as having a slightly soggy undercarriage):D and Mr LW is now busy doing the ironing.;)

I think I'll get the Nintendo DS out and do my Brain Training for today; and if there's time, try one of the Sudoku puzzles included in the software.:o
Enjoy the rest of the Easter break, everyone.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Hi everyone

Computer playing on its own at the moment so hope this post goes on OK

Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates, I have delivered eggs to DGC's this morning, but was too late to join in the egg hunt, but youngest DGS has share his eggs with me:)

Made lasagne for tea and will then be having an early night as back at work tomorrow early am, but then having a break next week away so looking forwards to that.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • Hi everyone

Sorry ive been missing in action again - struggling a bit at the moment. I really wanted a nice quiet life but now I find I am purely existing and its really too quiet a life! Not sure where to turn in terms of chaning things at my age so I just keep plodding on. Something needs to change for me to feel fulfilled - I would like to meet someone but dont really know how to go about it and I am afraid of getting hurt again.

This is why I prefer to be at work - less time to dwell on things.

Anyway, I have been quite productive and got some jobs done around the house. One more day and I can get back to work and hopefully feel better about things.

I might think about a book club or something that will get me out of the house.

Sorry to be such a misery at Easter - I hope everyone is having a nice relaxing break.

    xxx

  • lillibet dripping, yes it was at the suffolk showground. Did you end up going? I saw lots of people being pulled about by their dogs, me included :D.
Our dog enjoyed it. He has never seen so many people and dogs.
It has been raining for a while here now. Went over the allotment planting onions, better late than never :o.
Hope everyone has had a good day and hugs to those who need them.
