O/S Daily Thread Easter Sunday 2012

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 8th April. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning,
Happy Easter everyone celebrating xx
Where is everyone ? Up at normal o'clock today
, Today the usual, Roast Pork with all the trimmings for tea. Tiddlies are going to MIL for a sleepover tonight.
A bit damp here today, but will try and get the kids somewhere to let off some steam
.
Have lovely ones xx

Good morning bargainbird and to those who follow,
Happy Easter to you all.
Bit dull here today.
We may be going to a dog show today, rather depends on the weather. We don't usually do much over the Easter weekend.
Wm is on, so that will go on the airer.
We will probably have our roast tonight, chicken with potatoes and veg.
Hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.

Morning Bargainbird and all who follow. Dull here today and rain is just starting. I'm off to London in a while with my sisters, going to see my other brothers and sisters and look at what needs to be done to get our late Mum's house ready for sale. Will be a bit sad as it's the first time I've been there since she passed away. So nothing OS for me, we had a roast dinner yesterday so menfolk can eat leftovers.
Hugs to all who need them. Hope the Easter Bunny hops your way and Happy Easter to all. have a good day.:easter_ba£180.00 in 'sistercas'fund
Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.

Morning all
Overcast again here today, but I expect hubby will still potter in the garden & I will clear out another kitchen cupboard.
We went to Homebase yesterday for a new watering can rose & I bought a Lilly of the valley to plant in a shady spot in the garden, we then went to the local carvery for a roast dinner & ice cream.
I'm on the third ball of Poem yarn that I'm using for my DD's shrug, so I might get 2 shrugs finished before I go back to work, I'm still knitting preemie clothes in between & have found a few squares to contribute to the Bloggy Blanket.
HM yogurt & raspberries for breakfast & roast chicken for tea tonight.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Morning :hello:
Happy Easter
Just had breakfast. Bowl of cornflakes, big mug of tea and two creme eggs
Not much going on today. I might potter in the greenhouses, there's loads of seedlings waiting to go in. Then, films and chocolate

Happy Easter everyone! :EasterBun (this is one of my favourite smilies, but just discovered I can't actually watch it cos it affects my vertigo and makes me dizzy!)
I had a lovely night in with my friend last night, watched 2 DVDs and had pizza, lots of LO's so that's tea sorted today, and he paid for it so it's free LO's:rotfl:. Although it does mean I can't eat my Easter Egg today cos I'm doing WW and it's either pizza or egg, and the pizza needs eating first, the egg can wait!
Today I'm off to my parents for lunch, will be quite nice to have a home-cooked veggie roast. I've not cooked one for ages, Jan I think, and I'm really fancying one. Other than that I'm going to do some uni work.
OS wise -WM will go on if the forecast says no rain, nowt else!
Have a fab day all

Morning all:j
Seems it has rained overnight. Still very overcast here too.
forever saving - it you are going to All about Dogs at the Suffolk Showground watch out for me being pulled along by my three springer spaniels!!! Actually, if the weather doesn't improve, we may go tomorrow instead:o
To those with greenhouses to potter in - I am green with envy. Mine is still sitting in the box wating to be put up. It's a 2-person job and all the '2-persons' I know are away for the weekend. I don't like to ask the neighbours for help as I know it's going to be at least a half-day job. Oh, the joys of being a single parent......
DD has been on a sleepover last night so will have to go and pick her up late morning, then drive her to her dad's for Easter Sunday lunch. She only told me about lunch yesterday...
So Jonny No-Mates will be having Easter lunch alone (cue, violins). I'm having lamb though - lamb's liver:rotfl: Can't afford the big bits:D and the kids won't eat liver, so it really is a a treat for me.....
Have a good day all

Morning All
Been awake for a while but took a pot of tea upstairs and went back to bed to read for an hour or so. Managed to clear everything up last night after friends left so very little to do today and have some left overs too so that's tonight's tea sorted!
Have a load of washing in but it looks a little showery so may have to put it on the airers today.
Tru - I would have had that breakfast too but without the cornflakes!
JackieO - Sounds like you had a good day yesterday.
Miffy - Hope your siblings are a support to you, it's a difficult time.
OOh, forgot to say Happy Easter. Take care. XX0
