    You can ask for a cash receipt, it will list each item and a price in the order you sent but no address details :)

    As macfly suggested you could hand over heaviest first, get the bulk form stamped and a cash receipt.

    The "other bits" is the thing that tells you how thick the parcel is. Get a ruler.

    This is all I need apart from a set of basic scales, no guessing no need to faff around at Post office.

    I do still get it wrong of course, noteably when I list European postage for worldwide countries and vice versa, but thats me being stupid .
