Hey,
I've just received my AMEX BA Rewards card, I was wondering if anyone knows what the account number and sort code is, if I ever wanted to send a manual payment from my bank account. I already have a DD set up to pay the full balance but cannot find any information about what the account number or sort code is on their website.
Thanks

Anyone got any ideas?0

It would be best to call them, I assume they will give you a customer reference you need to include with the transfer.0

Ive tried but they're pretty much useless.0

For the Platinum Cashback card its...
sort code 30-00-00
a/c number 00200476
They may have different account numbers for different cards so best to check. It'll be printed on the Giro slip at the bottom of your statement. You will need to quote your 15 digit Amex card number as the payment ref.0 -
This should be a very straight-forward question for customer services.
When you say they were "pretty much useless"....what exactly did they say? I find it very hard to believe the rep would have just said "sorry I don't know"....
And yes, Amex's bank details do tend to vary according to your specific card product0 -

Navigate to their FAQ section (I accessed it through the search box top right...the bit where it says "Need help?")
Click "How can I pay my bill" (it's question 1)
And you'll see, amongst several other methods...Telephone/Online Banking:
Provide your bank with the American Express Bank account and sort code details found on your bank giro slip and include your 15 digit American Express Account number as the reference.

I would hazard to suggest that, in the intervening 16 months since his last post on this thread, Ricky's already confirmed that fact.Optimists see a glass half full
Pessimists see a glass half empty
Engineers just see a glass twice the size it needed to be0 -
in my experience Amex CS is consistently excellent.
they should definately give you the information you need.
as it happens i pay by DD every month, but also make additional manual payments. i do the latter on americanexpress.co.uk and they therefore increase the available balance immediately:)0
