MAC numbers - Bulldog refuse to comply

Has anyone else out there been refused a MAC number by Bulldog? I've complained to Ofcom who flatly say that under their new regs. even with LLU service arrangements, MACs must be provided within 5 working days of a request - even Pipex (who now own Bulldog) have told me that they have to give it out, but Bulldog flatly refuse saying they don't have to........?
Anyone else battled Bulldog for an LLU based MAC number & won & who can proffer advise?

Don't you need a bulldog phone line to get bulldog broadband? Not sure if bulldog allow other isp carriers on their lines... Mine is an 'all in' package.
If you are changing phone line back to BT then using BT, or another ISP, for broadband you don't need a mac number - just go to BT and request an RTD (Return To Donor) on the line - I believe they will then deal with everything...
Not sure how it works if Bulldog installed the line though!0 -
I currently am with bulldog, in order to leave you must get your telephone line reverted back to bt then find a new adsl provider. This process can take anywhere up to 4 weeks."He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,
He will kill your cat and nail him to the door"

cheers for this, I'm just about to leave bull**** and will be going back to getting a BT line. I haven't started the cancellation yet but would love some advice. My contract is up now so should I call them and give them my 1 months notice, at the same time contact BT and tell them that I need a BT line in? what do you think? Thanks for all replies_________0

I really can't wait to be shut of them! I've been messed about by them since my contract started, they don't appreciate any of their customer's needs or concerns, definitely the worst company that I have ever dealt with. If I had the money 6 months ago to pay them off to get out of their shoddy contract then I would have. I know that Im having a rant but they have really gotten under my collar and thankfully there is now light at the end of their really long tunnel!!!x_Wilco_x wrote:You lucky thing you - I still have months & months left before i can shaft the dog!
