Sucess claimed charges from store cards

Hi just thought i would let everyone know that i have been sucessful in claiming back charges and interest from store cards new look £380. and mothercare card £429 creation £156 for ppi and waitng for there offer for charges i have just wrote off to next and 7 other catalogue companys i have had in the past some of them i have held for 10 years so hoping to get some monies back from them will keep you updated .....

Just got the letter back from creation about charges god i am so happy i did this £859 charges and £279 interest what a result...

hello, well done on your sucess! i also have a new look store card i have not used it in years but i am still paying it off due to the charges on it. I just wanted to ask you how you went about it? I wrote to santander as the new look store card was taken over by them and got a reply last week basically refusing saying i knew the charges when i took the card they enclosed a form for the FOS telling me to write to them if i am not happy. it spurs me on to not give up when i see others are getting a refund. So i would be very greatful to hear the route you went with the newlook card, thankyou very much

How did you go about re claiming this and if you have ppi or hidden charges on your account? I have a new look store card, next catalogue account and a studio and choice(littlewoods) catalogues! I'm not sure if any of these have PPI?

decided to forward it all to FOS now and sent the letter off today hopefully it will help

I have wrote the same letter to all firstly i found out by a quick phone call to them how long i had the card also asked if ppi was on the card at any time they will tell you everything you want to know it is only an advisor you are talking to they are obliged to give the information i wrote in the letter that i had seeked advice from the ombudsman who told me to put this in writing to you and ask for the charges back that have exceeded the unlawful limit plus 8 per cent interest or ask for the ppi with interest back what ever the case may be also mentioning at the end of the letter that the ombudsman has asked me to keep him informed and will be willing to help if neccesary..good luck

Firstly phone the companys you are going to write to it will be an advisor you speak to have the attitude that you are sure you paid ppi on this account could they check ask how long you have held account for get the date you first got the account keep a note do this for all you intend to pursue now you have some facts write a letter wheater it be for charges back or ppi stating you have taken advice from the ombudsman who has adviced you to put this in writing asking for the charges back that have exceeded the unlawful limit plus 8 per cent interest i have had the charges to 9 yrs when i first had the card so make sure you highlight the date you first had the card as well good luck

with the new look card was it santander you wrote to? i used the template letter but they refused to refund me so hopefully going down the fos route will help me can i just check was it the charges you got back? thanks
