Which 'diet' are you on (if you are)?

Hi all.

I quit smoking in August 2010, and since then have gained 2 stone. I know its because i eat too much chocolate/cake/crisps etc.
My main meals are heathy 99% of the time, as i really like healthy food, but i also (unfortunately) love chocolate!

I am just wonder what diets people have tried, if they have worked, how easy they were to stay on etc?

I think i am just going to eat 3 meals a day and cut down significantly on the chocolate intake :)

What has worked/is working for you?

    Hi Cleggie,

Like you I have gained weight no idea how much would dread to look!
Mine is because I have stopped shift work and spend evenings slumped on the couch eating junk.
I think slimming world looks good, people seem to get on well with that but I dont know the minute diet is said, I eat everything in sight.
I am going to start power walking and cutting down, I think if I should do this I will see a difference.

I low carb and eat 99% cocoa chocolate - once you've gotten used to it many people prefer the dark side ;)

I dont think it is Cleggie, do you mean for the food or to go each week, I think its about 4.50 a week but I could be wrong, it seems simple enough though to follow!!!:p

    Hi Cleggie

I'm doing Celebrity Slim which is fab if you love chocolate. I think its why its working for me.

I have a Cs bar for breakfast and one for lunch, a low carb main meal (1/4 lean protein, 3/4 vegetables) and 3 low carb, low calorie snack. The bars are chocolate covered so I'm still having it twice a day. You can have shakes or soups instead of the bars if you like.

It's really convenient and working for me so far. I've lost 16lb since the end of January.

I meant to say that I believe all the commercially available diets work, you just need to the find the one that suits you.

I find the classes associated with SW and Ww really negative, and too focused on food. Thin people don't think about food. The post weigh in groups only reinforce food as the focus.

It's all what did you eat this week, let's talk about some healthy recipes, but the focus is still on food. I think the sessions would be better spent on teaching people ways to not comfort eat, distraction therapies and ways to dress to look slimmer etc.
