Will be glad when this weekend is over. The house is awash with crosses, crowns of thorns, Easter Service sheets, Candles and all the paraphernalia of the rev's job. Plus the last of my Easter chicks destined for the drop-in tomorrow. Not sure what my rough, tough, tattooed, shaven headed lads will make of knitted chicks with an Easter egg in their tummies and a coloured ribbon round their necks but they have surprised me before, so here's hoping.
Seem to have been filled to the point of nausea with chocolate, hot x buns etc, but managed a fairly sensible lunch of jacket pots with cheese and HM coleslaw.
Taplady: When I had my hairy monster (German Shepherd) I used to put her blankets etc in the TD on cold for 20 minutes before washing them. The filter seemed to pick up most of the hairs and I
never had blocked pipes.
No hope of getting time on here tomorrow so I'll see you all on Monday if I can force myself out of bed.
Have a lovely Easter Day.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Bramble: Sorry, I meant to say, nothing really matches up to Nella Last's books. I'm not sure if it is the account of living through the war you like or just the diary format. You know that there are 3 Nella Last books. There's Nella Last's War, Nella Last's Peace and Nella Last in the 1950s. Not quite the same but I quite enjoyed 'The War and Uncle Walter,' by Walter Musto.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Haha seems my real shopping list was too cryptic. I wrote eggs with smiley face. OH bought eggs. 6 free range (good) organic (not so good £1.98 !!!!!!). So we had to nip out to mr t, but had a couple of vouchers so also bought johnny english reborn, brown rice and soya cream (our lidl is bereft of both these stapLes of our normal diet). She had bought a mighty fine pork joint and we had a fab roasty tonight while watching JE. I also had a bottle of scrumpy and we marvelled at how extremely well we are eating yet living below our income!!! I can only thank all you guys for so generously sharing your tips. Although we rarely shop at m t any more,we do have his CC so will continue collecting points. Although we are also spending a lot lot less we continue to pay for DD2,s uni accommodation on the card. If DS gets his grades we will be doing the same for him come sept. I foresee future use of CC bonus vouchers being dvdsMrsSD declutter medals 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐0
