i will not be turning up with no car car for a job which needs a car for there job im still unaware if i will actually need a car as the position doesn't state the application asked if i had my own transport and just in case i was seeing if there were funds available, some ppls replies on here are stupid if you've not anything useful to say then surely its better not to reply0

You told us in post #1 that it does need a car. Why haven't you asked them if they haven't confirmed? Do that and also ask them how long their recent CRBs have been taking to come back - If they freely admit they are taking six weeks then you've potentially got longer to do it.
And as for "anything useful" it is useful to remind people lying about having a car - a working, available, taxed car is implied which is why I say no even though I do have one - is a bad idea and stupid itself!
Its likely to lose you this job if you don't get it sorted and it does need a car.0 -

you said
'basically i will need a car to get to patients houses and maybe take them shopping in the application it asks do i have my own transport i put yes as ive got my own car. its abit of a tricky one'
So the story is now that you don't need a car for the job. Interesting. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
Really depends on whether you will need to take clients out in your car on what business insurance you need. If you're only going to be going to different places of work then you just need the first business insurance, going back a few years since I was in the business, but mine was around £10-20pa more than my normal insurance. My employer paid for this. The first thing you will need to find out is whether you will need anything more than that. A lot of companies don't like clients taking in their own cars and prefer them to use public transport (that was the case for me anyhoo).
Could you get a crisis loan or budgeting load from dwp for this?4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
i was unsure as to weather i would need a car to take ppl out but i now no i dont. i have a car but no insurance or tax and it would be very usefull if i had a car to get to houses, ive since asked the job center about helping me with this and they will pay my deposit and first months payment for insurance, so by the second month il be able to pay myself, thankyou to the people that tried to help much thanks0

Perhaps if you had asked on a benefits board, rather than an employment one where we do tend to pick apart the issues to do with employment. And you did confuse the issue saying that a car was needed and you had stated that you had one in your application. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0
