overpaid salary after dismissal and reinstatement

thanks for the considered reply..yes i realise that i have had more than i would have had if the dismissal hadnt taken place and thats whats scaring me and the fact that i didnt know i had. i didnt want or ask for this to happen but it did and tho i realise its a mistake it doesnt make it right. i have lived extremely frugally with my family during the 9 weeks its been going on...in fact we froze and starved but i took the advice of CAB to pay off debts in readiness for a potential different appeal outcome..maybe that wasnt a wise move but we always see things differently with hindsight..of course im angry but some of the comments on here are unfair. im certainly no drama queen, im just a person who has been under intolerable unnecesary pressure not of my own making . i basically went to pieces and cracked up with the stress of getting exonerated and money was the last thing on my mind. sorry for rambling but i shall refrain from coming to a site like this again as its littered with vitriolic trolls.getmore4less wrote: »Ok. might still be some mileage there to improve the ET case.
I think on the money side you are probably overreacting looks like the £10k buffer on credits sort out that side of things
When you get down to the facts you have had more money than you would have had without the dismisal so it is down to negotiating a repayment plan, with an ET claim in the back ground and a reinstatement from a potential unfare dismisal they should be flexable on a repayment plan.
It will need you to keep calm when you negotiate perhaps get the union to help.
What is not clear is how much of this extra you have actualy spent rather than used to clearing debt. you should not have any financial issue for April you have been paid for it allready.0 -

You might not like the responses, but that's not the same as people being abusive, vitriolic or 'trolls'.
But if you are very sensitive to people's opinions, then yes, you may want to avoid sites like this as posting information publicly will gain a variety of responses, some of which you may not like.
' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
So … the OP was told where to get free legal help but didn't bother to take it up. The OP has a union with free legal advice, but strangely didn't mention what they told her, although one has to assume they'd be they first ones to ask … And the OP is calling US trolls?0

One of the advantages of coming to a site like this is people say what they think from limited information so sometimes they get it wrong.
By clarifying you get a clearer picture of you own issues and a better understanding of what information is important to those you .
Some of the info you gave is not consistant so that is something to watch out for when dealing with the issues with the people that are involved.
Remember people around you might be thinking some of the things people say, but they will be two faced and tell you what you want to hear which may not be best for you.
The one thing I am struggling with is if this place has got so bad why you are trying to stay, won't a lot need to change around you to make it a viable long term option?0 -
Perhaps because it's a job ....and it's fairly difficult finding new ones in the current climate ?I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
