They didn't explain what solve means at the moment, probably depends upon their verdict.
Hmmm, personally I'd still go to apple first before sending it to them.
Namely because if they pop the ipad open to investigate it, it could void your warranty (especially if they don't have apple cert technicians).:exclamatiTo the internet.. I need to complain about something!0 -

i suspect 'their engineers' might be the local apple shop.
OP, you'd still be much better off taking it direct to apple. it would have saved the hassle of writing to them and you'd have a repaired ipad alreadyhelpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -
you cant break an ipad screen by using an app unless it was your fault.

Google is your friend, lots of cases out there of screens just failing, the fact that OP was using an app at the time was probably coincidental.
Are you saying that the screen on the apple, through normal use, can just crack?0 -
If it's faulty, yes.

I'm saying that the Ipad, just like ANY other product, will have SOME units which contain inherent faults.
I am NOT saying that the Ipad is inherently faulty by design.0 -

There have been reports of something as simple as the magnet on the cases catching the screen causing a crack, but yes, of course they can just crack if faulty from the factory.0
