Hi
Do not do it. Just sell via the standard estate agents and set the price low enough.
Otherwise, they offer you a low price, pull you in and then reduce the price. If you are lucky they sting you for the surveyor/valuation fees first. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
ok just dont want to go through the hastle of estate agents and if i am lucky numerous people walking through0

Consider a LOW price with an estate agent, undercutting all similar properties in the area... if you went with one of those "buy it off you" companies, you'd get 70% of the low price, and it would still take the same amount of time.
You are FAR better off just using an EA. Do your price research beforehand, get a few EAs round, explain you want a quick sale and thus want to put it on for a realistic "price to sell", and choose the EA that you like the best, not the one that spouts the most cr*p!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
It is possible, even in today's climate to sell quickly with a high street EA. We did this last year.....priced our house for a quick sale as we needed to relocate urgently for family reasons......accepted an offer within two weeks and completed on the sale (as well as the purchase of our new house) within around nine weeks. We only had about four viewings in those two weeks so not 'numerous' people.....
Good Luck OP, but don't trust any of those companiesMortgage-free for fourteen years!

Don't do it from what I've heard not only will you get screwed on price, but sales seem to take more time not less.
Price a house correctly and put it on with the right agent and it will sell.0 -
If you want to sell in the shortest time and with minimal aggravation then put the house through an auction. It'll fetch no less than these companies would offer anyway.0
-
Some of these companies do not actually have any money to enable them to buy the property.
They are just harvesting leads to flog to GRQ BMV mug punters.0 -

Our house has been on the market for 9 months (reduced in price too) - I wish I knew how to tell the "right agent" :-/0 -
define "reasonable". as they say, time is money. maybe your best route is either listing with an EA at below market value or go to auction."enough is a feast"...old Buddist proverb0
