A job I have just applied for wanted (prefered) a video presentation! Are they for real? Who the hell would do a video clip for a job in accounts? Are we down to auditioning now like going on Big Brother!
Please don't forget to accompany your application with either a short video introduction (preferred) or cover letter that tells us why you're the perfect candidate for the job!

You'd probably be ok, I guessing they are after a quick video which shows you can talk to people, communicate well, that sort of thing. It isn't something which shows off in an application form or a photo. (Oh and deffo don't include a video if you are a certain Daily Mail 'journalist', immediate rejection letter!).
Could it be the sort which some universities want?0 -
I can see that this could be open to all sorts of abuse.Could certainly be ageist as a minimum.
I don't think it is a useful tool at all. I would refuse as you have no control over what happens to the video once you have sent it or who views it and why. There are three types of people in this world. Those who can count and those who can't.0 -

I'd never send a video like Id never send a photo. Just wondered what it has to do with accounts and no it's not a Uni its a company in London. You'd probably be ok, I guessing they are after a quick video which shows you can talk to people, communicate well, that sort of thing. I forget which uni it is, but a friend wanted to go over to America to study and she was told she had to submit a video as part of the application. If I find out which uni it was, I'll come back to this.0 -
Thats to study at a uni thats not in this country so a video would be a good way to see the person unline a job up the road who can call you up to see you at a certain time.I forget which uni it is, but a friend wanted to go over to America to study and she was told she had to submit a video as part of the application.
