You're a local lad! I'll keep an eye out for Mr and Mrs MBE seniors on Saturday when I'm going down to see mum, as no, I don't go the long way! I'm guessing it will be the best kept front garden on the way in.
If your mum and dad ever go to the beach at Greatstone, they may know mum/mums house. It's the one that had a BIG fire a few years ago but still managed to leave the s***ing Leylandii standing at the front!0 -

Quite local.
And yep, they might know it (particularly if it was in local paper), although they don't go that way too often I don't think. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
if you are near a wood or copse why not lay it there?Freedom is the freedom to say that 2+2 = 4 (George Orwell, 1984).

Its a house on the beach, nearest woods is miles away, in fact council dump is nearer, and I have a saloon car which is useless for moving things but it was a free car from my MIL so not complaining0 -
Is she on the sea side of the road then? It must be pretty challenging gardening in that environment - wind, sand, salt, more wind...If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

Yep she's sea side, and until she had a stroke 15 months ago liked the wild look. Now she wants a garden to sit in. At the moment it's just buckthorne growing out of sand dunes.
I'm treating this as a slow project, as she's 2 hours away from me and £35 in petrol I can't just pop down to do a bit.
Neighbours seem to leave as is or level and concrete over, but there's no money for big jobs like that.
Will take pics on Saturday, my camera cable has got to arrive at some point.0
