Garden shredders, which of these 2?

It for my mums garden which has 15ft of over grown shrub to grow, no branches bigger than a couple of inches, and not fussed if it chops leaves. Also has lots and lots of seabuckthorn to remove around 6' tall and covers area of 20' x 6'

because of this:

she is unable to go outside to her garden of sand dunes. Hubby had to have a week off work and trip to the hospital last year trying to clear them so this year we want to get rid of them before the caterpillars hatch.
It's mums money I'm spending so want to make sure I get one that will do the job.
Your thoughts please?

Does she live in Greatstone then? I know it very well.
I couldn't choose between the shredders though - they both look up to the job.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
If I had to choose I'd go for the Bosch one - I borrow a mates Bosch shredder which seems pretty effective. Having fed the best part of 4 metres run of 6 foot hedge into it I think I gave it a good test run. Looking on the Argos site the reviews are better for the Bosch one as well.Adventure before Dementia!0

Yep directly on the beach............and she'd like me to make her a cottage garden in the sand dunes when I've cleared it all!:rotfl:0 -

That's good enough for me, bosch it is then.
Never thought to look at Argos as there isn't one that near me.
Thank you0 -
I have a Bosch and it certainly does the job. We have used it frequently for 3 years now and highly recommend it. They are great gadgets!0

I bought the Bosch 2000 for £120 from B&Q:

I don't think there is much difference from the 2200. I've used mine to shred several large Buddleja, Cotoneasters, Hydrangeas, some Holly and some roses. It copes up to about 1" wood, maybe more depending on how hard it is.
I avoid feeding in stones or grit as that will blunt the blade. I don't feed in roots for that reason. Replacement blades are about £15 IIRC which seems okay to me. Some shredders have expensive blades.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0 -

Unless you're a bit mad, and approach your mum's house from the Lydd / Dungeness direction, you will drive right past my mum's house in New Romney. You'll see my dad tending his immaculate garden. You'll drive past the Captain Howey pub, opposite the RH&DR, where I bought my first pint.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0
