Hi everyone
It's been ages since I last posted, but I've kept well and truly on the DFW wagon and thought I'd share my news that I am now debt free!! Woo-hoo! :T
It hasn't sunk in yet - I can see my statement on line and can't wait for it drop through the door! Can't really dance around the room, as I'm at work (so might just pop to the loo to do it :rotfl: ) :j
From almost £23K when I joined last March, I stripped the SOA, I shopped around for everything (using Quidco, etc) and even have most of this year's birthday and Xmas pressies stored up through fab bargains in the sales! I did cash in 2 endowments which chopped £13K off in one go, which helped massively. A huge thank you to everyone here for advice, ideas, tips and support :T :T
I've still been quite nerdy behind the scenes, helping 2 friends to get their debts in order and come on here daily to read DFW and the Savings and MFW boards. Stage 1 was to get debt-free, Stage 2 is to save that £13K from the endowments (so pay myself back) and split savings between 6 months salary back-up fund, pay off some mortgage and when that is done, Stage 3 is a new bathroom suite - mind you, by time I get there, Pampus Green will probably be back in fashion :rotfl:
Good luck to everyone on the DFW trail - I'll get on here more often and repay that support you guys have given me - I'm indebted to you all!
