if you haven't got fabric conditioner (we don't use it as I'm allergic to most), then use a little hair conditioner as it'll do the same job.

anti-static furniture polish (spray a little on your hands and then fluff up bun bun's fur). Or lemon oil is naturally anti-static.

I might tumble dry my bun-buns so my OH can see them flashing. :D

Rubbing a baby wipe over him may help.

I'd go with the fabric softener, or a tiny bit of hairspray on your hands and fluff him. Sit him on something that means the static can earth for a bit too.

Can you just imagine the furore at school today as the adorable little girl insists that her giant stuffed bunny nipped her, repeatedly?

Still clearly too dry inside. I'd personally stick him in the bathroom and have a shower - he should then get enough humid air inside him to start dampening down the static. He's probably got synthetic stuffing hence the static but its also less likely to support mould than natural fibres. If anyone in the house has slightly greasy (but not dirty!) hair then rubbing him on the hair will transfer some natural oil onto the surface if its the surface fur causing the static.

Put him out on the clothesline, let the wind buffet him and drain the static.

He doesn't need to hang from it, sit him in a basket or improvised hammock hanging from the line, if that's more palatable.
