My OH is quite happy for me to go .. we have been married for over 20 years so he hopes I won't do a Shirley Valentine ;)
My best friend is my business partner so there is no way we can go on holiday together
elantan .. no kids .. mine are all grown up so no babysitting.
Victory .. son is back tommorow so I will see if he can sell it on .. if not and no chance of an insurance payout then there is a very strong chance that me and 3 other people may be having an MSE meet in Rhodes this May :)

Have i got this right..?Son has paid in full for holiday, its you and OHs wedding anniversary and yet he is prepared to let you go on your own and also leave you to sort it all out? The woman currently sat to my right says that in those circs she would "kick him out".

Will there be costs involved in changing names?

Perhaps you could elicit possible takers from the forum, exchange details so that you will all "fit" and hopefully have a good time, and when you return,re-assess your personal circumstances?
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Could you somehow to a charity raffle or something with the holiday as the prize? You wouldn't get your money back but you would know someone was benefiting from it :)

Believe me he is no monster and as for kicking him out ? We have been married for 20 years .. he is 62 and had to create a self employed business 3 years ago thanks to assett strippers and redundancy , cashed in his pension and does a physical job that lads of 25 would find exhausting
This man has fought tooth and nail to bring in enough income to help pay the mortgage and other bills. he would sell his soul to see the family safe and secure.
My personal circumstances are far better than many and I would not walk away from my OH ..you really have the wrong end of the stick .. we are a team , but financial situation due to the deepening recession dictates that he cannot afford to take 2 weeks holiday because every job that comes in and he completes goes to keeping a roof over our head,
I hope you and your partner have the same respect for each other.

Can you donate it to a local hospice? Or children's ward? Some families would love the chance to take their child on a holiday they wouldn't otherwise be able to afford.

Apologies Ms Cavework..i was not making value judgements as to the quality of your relationship. I just think its terribly unfortunate that you and OH cannot apparently not now enjoy your hols together. I do hope it works out.

Where is Rhodes is it? We went last year and loved it.

You could end up agreeing to somebody from this forum going who could be a rapist, drug dealer and get you to smuggle drugs, pedophile, loony, etc etc, and you are asking them to share a room with you?!?!

Gee, it's nice to think us MSE forum users are so highly thought of....

    :(
