CSA threatening to visit my home/workplace

The CSA are currently doing a maintenance assessment on me and I gave them my employers details so they could get my payslips direct from my boss. My boss is all over the world with business though and is very rarely here so he hasnt sent back the info they require. I dont keep any of my payslips so cant submit them. They have now sent me a letter saying they have put a default maintenance in place and they will send a further letter telling me how I should pay the money. When I called them about this they said they are still waiting on my payslips and if they dont get them soon they will be sending someone out to my workplace and also my home. Has anyone been threatend with this action before? If they come to my work its fine because its only me here and I cant give them anymore info than what they already know. If they go to my house then it will be the same. I just wanted to know if anyone else had anyone pay them a visit.
The woman from the CSA told me they 'could' send the ballifs to my house. My reply was that wouldnt happen because as it stands I'm not in debt to them so how could they seize anything from me?? It seems like they are trying to bully me into giving any kind of detail to them. I know I will have to submit my payslips but I told them to go to my boss as he will have all the correct paperwork.

with all due respect, you need to deal with this. Yes, it is more than possible that your business premises and/or your home will receive a visit if this situation continues.
Your employer has a legal obligation to co-operate with the CSA or face fines (I think in the region of £1k). I understand it is rare such fines are used but they are used as many people here can tell you.
They can't send bailiffs to you...yet. But you are, technically, now in debt as your maintenance liability starts the day that the CSA contacts you. The longer this goes on, the bigger your arrears will be. Please bear in mind that the CSA can take up to 40% of your wages to deal with the arrears issue - which you will see if you have a look around this forum is something which happens on an all too regular basis. No, they don't care you have bills to pay or whether or not you can put petrol in the car to get you to work. They will simply take the money and your employer will have no choice but to co-operate.
How often are you paid? do you have your last P60?0 -

I know this is something I will have to deal with. I have been paying for my daughter for 8 years through a private agreement but because I have moved to a new job the pwc wants more money. She isnt interested in any other factors and thinks she is entitled to more money even though I'm on a lesser wage.
I used to pay for my daughter via the CSA so I know first hand how inept they can be with some of their cases. I am happy to pay a private agreement with the pwc but we arent on speaking terms and she wont listen so when she told me she was going down the CSA route I told her I would string it out for as long as possible and this is what I'm currently doing.
I know about the legal obligation with my employer but if they have not been in the county to reply to any mail I cant do anything about it.
I get paid monthly but dont have wage slips as such. We are a very small company and when the boss is back in the country he will be able to print off the wage slips I need.0 -

Be careful that you don't fall in to the trap of having to pay maintenance twice. Stop paying by private agreement now that the CSA are involved, if you haven't already.0 -

Depending on how much you have been paying through the private agreement, she could be entitled to more money, even though you now earn less, i.e. you have been underpaying in comparison with a CSA assessment.0 -

Sorry I stopped paying privately when the pwc contacted the CSA. I have offered on numerous occasions to setup another private agreement instead of going down the CSA route but there is no reasoning with some people. I have first hand experience of how bad the CSA can handle some cases and last time around the pwc was laughing all the way to the bank even though the CSA were at fault. I was never reimbursed for such errors, all they said was future payments would be a lesser amount. That didnt help me month to month though. So this time around I am giving the pwc a little of their own medicine of how inept the CSA are.0 -

I was overpaying so the CSA wouldnt be involved. Her going to the CSA is going to mean she gets less from me a month but she still wont listen. From a money point of view I am better off going down the CSA route but I would rather pay an extra £30/£40 a month to have them off my back.0 -

that will backfire as arrears are now stacking up. Don't cut off your nose to spite your face because at some point, you will have to pay...if you want a private arrangement, could you share a couple of payslips with your ex so she knows you're not lying about what you're earning? I think most of us understand that in this day and age, people are taking what work they can get but it can be hard to comprehend that you have taken a pay cut when there's maintenance involved. If you can prove this, she may back off.0 -

So you're playing games with her too?Nice. Why do people have to do this?
What good will come from drawing it out? They'll catch up with you,no worries there. You're also currently building up arrears.
Why bother stringing it out?It helps nobody, including yourself.
Oh and yes they will quite happily come to your place of work or contact your employers directly if you don't give them what they request by the time they state it needs to be received! If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -
Do you know roughly how much net income you get? Could be worth putting some money aside so you're not hit for all the arrears at once. They will also likely ask you to set up payments for the default maintenance amount now, that is £30 per week if you are paying for one child.0

The reason some people do this is because the way some PWC treat the NRP. I had a one night stand with a random girl when I was 18. I'm now 31 and have paid for my daughter and tried to be as big a part of my daughters life as possible. Its nearly impossible though as the PWC holds all the cards and if she wants to stop access for me then she can do so with no repercussion. We were never married so if I want access I need to go throguh the PWC. I have already been down the court road but I dont have a spare 5k> to throw away in court fee's when the PWC will get legal aid. Also if I get a court order to see my daughter and the PWC doesnt stick to the rules and I take further legal action (costing more money) do I want to be the persoan who sent mummy to jail or fined??? Thats just going to work against me.
Now I have just called my daughter to pick her up later today and the PWC has been filling her head full of nonsense about me and now she doesnt want me to pick her up. Now you tell me, who is the one playing games???
