Afternoon all
Quite a bit of snow overnight here (well, about 4"!) and kept snowing this morning, although stopped now. Fairly wet stuff, so think most may be gone by tomorrow. Littlies been playing in the garden with DS (20), but DD inside now - frozen fingers etc.
OS-wise, just got a few bits in the village, as I could walk up there, hate driving when all the numpties are out in this weather! Only spent a few pounds on bread, milk and meat for tea - would have spent double in town getting things we don't really need!
Spending this aft doing food stocktake, menu plans, stitching for magazine, and clearing all ironing away.
Hugs and kisses to the poorlies/in need, congrats to others (happy birthday uolypool!), hope everyone's weather isn't too disruptive.

Hi everyone,
Today the motability man came out to show me some scooters and all being well I should get mine in a weeks time :j Me & little dog are planning a road trip :rotfl:
We too had rain overnight & luckily DP fitted my water butt yesterday, am now looking to get another one for the shed. Lots of little seedlings through now, they spend there days in the west facing front porch & their nights on top of the aquarium, will have to do some potting up soon as the sweetpeas have roots visible at the bottom of the toilet roll inners after just 2 weeks, little does DS know that at least one of his days off next week have been earmarked for the garden
. Dinner tonight is DP's hm steak pie with roasties & veg, mr T order due in a couple of hours, only a top up shop really but it does have a nice leg of lamb in it for Sunday. I love lamb but it is so expensive however this was a half price offer & I discovered I had £9 of unused vouchers  so has only really cost as much as a normal joint & will of course be s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d as much as poss, have also changed my voucher thingy to nov send out so as to have a bit extra for that expensive time that comes every year.
Hope those with bugs & bumped bonces are soon feeling better x hugs & spoons to those in need x

Afternoon all,
Happy Birthday to Ulypool :beer::beer:
Been a really busy day here, no time for anything much, so will just send hugs to those in need xxxx0 -
Hiya.
Just breezed in to make sure you are all still here.
Have spent the last few days closetted with solicitors, Estate Agents etc. We were supposed to exchange on Friday but finally made it yesterday. My solicitor says he has lost what little hair he had.
Me? I just went into stress mode and ate my way through the 4 days, thus undoing all the good I'd done over the last 5 or 6 weeks.
TRU: Your poor son! Hope he realises that there are still some lovely NORMAL girls around. Have been in a similar situation to yours and it's awful seeing your son suffer. Hugs to you all.
LW: Now you know that you couldn't care less what sort of spaniel it is. If it's got pleading eyes, a waggy tail and a wet nose it will stroll right into your heart. I quite fancy a holiday with you myself and can provide all the above - except perhaps the waggy tail, well not last time I looked.
Nothing OS going on at the moment, or any other sort of S either. Will have to wait until after Easter before I dare think of doing anything other than what has to be done in the next 10 minutes.
Now to tackle 126 emails that are banked up. I've not even switched
the computer on since Friday.
Oh! and we were definitely promised rain today so why is the sky blue and the sun shining brightly.:(:(:(I believe that friends are quiet angels

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
We had snow overnight but it disappeared very quickly thankfully.
Very cold, went to knitting group this morning and had usual chat to settle the world, or our part of it at least.
OH made huge salad with tuna and leftover baked potatoes, so that was dinner about 3pm....stole 2 meatballs from yesterday's when I was putting leftovers in freezer, feeling a bit hungry now but not sure if I should eat at this time of night, had a yoghurt to-day so dont feel like another.
74 year old cousin who had part of lung removed 10 days ago has developed pneumonia and family have been sent for to-night shortly after they came home, seems to have had another turn....not looking good at this stage, he was my late mother's favourite nephew and taught me to knit more than 60 years ago, feel rather sad, but hope that he doesn't linger if he is not going to recover.
Going to try to put some stuff in greenhouse to-morrow, have tomato, courgette and pepper plants ready to go, need to get some squash going too, love it and had one miserable specimen last year as I was too late.
Hugs to all who are not feeling well, change in weather is responsible for much of sickness around I think.
Stay warm and safe
