Can anyone tell me how often you have to put credit on your mobile for PAYG? Is it different for different types of sims, mates rates for instance?
My mum wants a T-Mobile sim to transport her number but doesn't actually want to top up the sim, she only wants to receive phone calls.
I know virgin certainly don't have restrictions, and t-mobile won't give me straight answer.
Any advice much appreciated.

Anyone?? I just need to know how often you have to top up, thanks."I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0

In the past it has been sufficient to make or receive a call in every 180 days, not necessarily to top up, and I think it still is.
But Vodafone have got stricter, and I wonder if the other networks gradually want to.
As you say, Virgin have the reputation of being more lenient, and as they use the T-mobile network anyway, would they be suitable?0 -
If there's been no 'chargeable event' in 6 months the acc get put on hold, if after another 6 months there's been no contact it's closed, after another 6 months it's returned to the network for reissue.0

Thanks a lot for both replies. Think that's about all I need to know."I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0
