  • Hello! I'm sorry I haven't been on for ages, had a lot going on - had to move which involved extra £££ I hadn't planned for. Anyway, updating now... it's okay, but not as good as some of you have done!! Thanks for letting me be part of this thread and well done to all of you who have paid off so much of your debt!!

  • Goodness, this month is taking such a long time. It's been *very* expensive too. Roll on January, when the expense slows back down to normal levels again.

  • absolutely recurrent ostrich. the spending at this time of year even kept to a minimum is too much.

i get paid tomorrow but wont be able to declare anything paid off as i have spent so much on xmas presents than one cancels the other out. at least i havent increased my debt.

i cant wait to finish shopping and then start paying off again. we will do this thing x

We're in the same boat, we won't have reduced our debt at all I don't think this month. Still, come January we'll be back to the treadmill, plodding on at this debt!

Oooooooo, DH and I sat and wrote a wish list last night (things we want not things we need :D) and put it in priority order, there is estimated £1700 worth of stuff on there ranging from new blinds for the patio doors to a new laptop to some new mugs :rotfl: and we realised after this month we could actually quite easily afford to buy one item off the list every month   it was quite scary but quite exciting at the same time :)

Have decided I will be back next year as a 'saver' as we desperately need a new car so my target next year will be to save £5k toward a new one (not going for as much as I paid off this year as we really would like a bit of a life and some pocket money :o)

Getting very excited now as my bill for Mr Branson will be out next week and I will be paying it off :j :j :j then we can start living :j :j :j

    I love your posts!

What a fantastic feeling, I am so excited for you to get there and so soon.

I've booked a table at our favourite restaurant for 28th February 2013 - I am determined that even though we've been set back lots, this will be our debt-free date!

What are you going to do on the day you become DF to celebrate?
